Located on the island of Kattenburg, the building of Pension Homeland dates from the 1960s. The setting is vintage and warm. The rooms are very comfortable, with beautiful views and in each one, a painting by Jan Verburg on the walls. On the first floor there is a very nice café/restaurant and a home-made microbrewery. The surroundings are superb, with the lawns and the swimming pool of Marineterrein: a real oasis in the center of Amsterdam. It's an address like we like: pleasant and creative, in a neighborhood that is out of the ordinary.

The establishment
Pension Homeland is an extraordinary hotel in a unique location. We are located on a historic former naval base. This green oasis surrounded by walls is a secluded area of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam city life. The hotel stands out in the middle of this vast park. Its many windows offer beautiful views of the greenery, the water and the countless towers of Amsterdam. Inside, you will find a décor that takes you back to the time when the building was built. A continental vintage style from the 60's that you won't see anywhere else. Our style may be a thing of the past, but our service is very much of the present: we offer our guests free high-speed WiFi and our reception is open 24 hours a day.
The rooms
The verdant grounds, soothing sounds of the water and our serious beds make sleeping at Homeland a truly relaxing experience. The abundance of windows gives each room a beautiful view of the park, the water or the countless towers of Amsterdam. All rooms have a private toilet and shower, free WiFi, a TV, windows you can open (a rarity these days), a small safe and a unique mural by Jan Verburg.
