Good to know
Activation of the City Card: The City Card is activated the first time you enter a museum, attraction or use public transport. After activation, your City Card is valid for 24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours, depending on the card purchased.
Visit museums and sites: Present your City Card at the ticket office of participating museums and tourist sites - you will be admitted immediately.
Public transport in Amsterdam:The City Card is valid on all GVB transport. You can recognize them by their blue logo. The GVB includes all bus, streetcar and metro lines in Amsterdam as well as ferries and night buses. The City Card must be presented in front of the card reader on the bus or streetcar or at the entrance and exit of the metro when boarding and leaving.
Take a canal cruise:With your City Card, you can take a canal cruise with all major shipping companies. There is no need to book in advance, just choose a tour and a time and get on board.
