The road that leads to La Guardia (Portuguese border) is accompanied by a grandiose spectacle, punctuated by explosions of waves breaking on a long rocky barrier. The beach of Camposancos, south of La Guardia, is home to archaeological excavations where human remains from the Paleolithic period have been discovered. Five kilometers away, the wines of O'Rosal, among the most famous in Galicia, await you. There are many granite crosses in the area. To reach Portugal by road, two bridges are available. Either you take the one that crosses the Minho river in Tuy, or the one that goes from Goián to Vilanova de Cerveira.Don't miss the chance to climb the heights of Monte Santa Tecla. You will be doubly rewarded by a visit to a castro, whose straw-covered huts stand out against the ocean, and by the breathtaking view of the Miño River that ends its course there.
