Located 3 kilometers north of Playa Hermosa, Playa Panama is a succession of fine black sand surrounded by exuberant vegetation. There is a small mangrove at the estuary of the Rocha River, rich in aquatic and marine birds. The isolated and still natural beaches further north of Bahía Culebra are not accessible from Playa Panamá, except by boat; they are accessible by another route back to Liberia. A small natural paradise that combines some of the finest sand in the country with crystal clear waters, making the area an ideal stopover for water sports or for observing the bay's marine ecosystem.
