To the south of Popoyo, along this pretty beach, you'll find a gentle mix of upscale and mid-range hotels with a very calm atmosphere. Here, too, you can surf the beautiful rollers, enjoy the sunsets and the softness of the sand. Playa Santana continues to the south with playa Jiquelite, a quieter alternative to its famous neighbor Popoyo. The bay is easily accessible from the main towns in the region (Managua, Masaya or Rivas), thanks to Route 62, which links up with Route 1 from Managua, and serves the smaller roads leading to the various beaches along the coast. A great getaway.
