From San Isidro, you can take the road to Playa Dominical through San Juan, but you can also continue on the Interamericana. The first major stop is Buenos Aires, a small village 65 km south of San Isidro, in the middle of pineapple plantations. From this point of entry into La Amistad Park, you can "visit" the Indian reserves of Boruca (south), Salitre, Ujarrás and Cabraga. Although the last three are not the most welcoming, it is possible to drive through them on the small road that runs parallel to the Interamericana and passes through Buenos Aires.
