This small village named after the Indians of the region is at first glance not very interesting for most tourists: nothing special except to observe the numerous iguanas that have taken up residence in the trees of the park that runs along the main street; it is above all an administrative and agricultural center for the Amerindians. If you want to learn more about the Indian communities that live there, however, it is an enriching stopover that we recommend in order to discover another facet of the country's culture. Many of them rent out rooms to tourists and this is a good way to get into their way of life and traditions.
