The main street, lined with pretty stores and cafés, starts at Agia Marina and crosses the village from one end to the other, passing through the central square of Agios Nikolaos, which you'll recognize by its majestic tree. Everyone gathers in the square throughout the day: the elders in the morning for coffee and at the end of the day for a game of backgammon; the youngsters for after-dinner drinks until late at night. Hidden behind the square, the medieval kastro is barely visible. Continuing westwards, the main street passes through a more residential area and finally leads to the magnificent beach of Sifneikos Gialos. It's impossible to get lost for too long in these quiet, pedestrian streets. The village's main thoroughfare is the beating heart of the island. It's a pleasure to stroll along it, whether during the day for shopping or in the evening for a digestive stroll. In Antiparos, everything begins and ends with the main street.
