The valley is crowded on weekends, but the small village of Ambelakia is beautiful. You can start your visit with the town, before going to discover the sights of the valley. Here, everything seems to be in slow motion. You can enter the church with its magnificent starry vault and beautiful icons. Behind it, you have a beautiful view of the Tembi valley. Then you can decide to go for a walk along the Pinios river between the Ossa and Olympus mountains. According to ancient writers, a terrible earthquake separated the two mountains and created this paradise. At the foot of Mount Ossa there was a sanctuary of Apollo from where pilgrims left every year for Delphi.
