Travel Guide Mont Parnasse

Fifteen kilometres from Arachova, the name certainly rings a bell. Indeed, the station and the well known district of Paris take their name from the mountain where the nine muses of the arts lived. Montparnasse has always been a district frequented by artists... A hike is possible on Mount Parnassus to reach the Diakouma summit, at an altitude of 2,459 metres. We start from Pterolaka, at 1,600 metres, which we reach by following the direction of the Pan cave or the ski resort. It takes 3 hours of walking on a clear day to reach the summit. However, it is preferable to be accompanied by a guide.
