This site is a sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Leto and her children, Apollo and Artemis. The remains of the seventh century BC are located in a charming setting where the water slicks partially cover some monuments. The legend tells that Leto, loved by Zeus, arouses the fierce jealousy of Hera, his wife, who chases her. Looking for a place to give birth to Apollo and Artemis, Leto approaches a fountain to quench her thirst, but shepherds chase her. Wolves guide her to the river Xanthos and she decides to name the area Lykia, from the Greek lykos ("wolf"). It is difficult to reach without a car (you have to walk 4 km).
