26 km from Kaş and 79 km from Fethiye, this ancient Greek village, perched on a hill overlooking the sea, was originally called Kala Maki. This small village has developed a complete tourist infrastructure: marina, club hotels, apartment hotels, pensions, charming hotels, restaurants... while keeping a certain authenticity thanks to its preserved architecture. Kalkan is mostly frequented by Anglo-Saxon tourists. The fishing port and its restaurants are pleasant. Kalkan can be used as a starting point to explore Letoon, Xanthos and Patara but it is necessary to book your accommodation well in advance. There are beautiful coves between Kalkan and Finike.
