This reserve located 5 kilometers north of Ajloun offers a relaxing setting dotted with beautiful Mediterranean vegetation. The pleasure of walking in a forest in Jordan is rare enough to be mentioned. Only 1% of Jordan's territory is covered with trees. Its 13 km² are covered with evergreen oaks, carob trees and other wild pistachio trees. You may come across wild boar and deer, species recently reintroduced in the area. Once very numerous, they had disappeared due to massive deforestation. Birds are also numerous. Two trails and hiking paths have been built, with varying degrees of difficulty.
