On the shores of Lake Peipus, the village of Kolkja has a very strange tradition: a sledging competition on skates! In winter, sledging is a very practical way of getting around the roads and even the frozen lake. At the beginning of March, sledging fans gather for an afternoon of sledding, even on the lake if the thickness of the ice cover allows. No sled? You can rent one by registering in advance. In 2024, the festival is taking place as part of Tartu 2024.
