Small town in the heart of a beautiful natural environment, Radomir developed at the beginning of the last century, like Pernik, around mining. In 1918, the site became known when some soldiers from the front proclaimed the Republic of Radomir, judging the authorities responsible for the defeat. Near Radomir, the village of Kovachevtsi was the birthplace of Georgi Dimitrov (1882-1949), the communist leader who created the post-war People's Republic of Bulgaria. Trains regularly connect Radomir and Sofia (1h15 of travel), Kyustendil, Dupnista or Blagoevgrad (1h30). Generally, we just pass by.
