With its Polynesian decor, the Trader Vic's offers an original setting to drink excellent cocktails. This international chain was founded by Victor Bergeron, one of the two creators of Mai Tai. It is therefore highly recommended to taste one of the many derivatives of this mythical cocktail at the bar, where the atmosphere can take it up a notch at the end of the evening. As for the restaurant, dinner is enjoyed while listening to music, since a Cuban band comes to perform every night. Beachwear to be avoided.

Thank you Story for a truly fabulous time. We had our wedding at Story on the beach it was absolutely beautiful, thank you to everyone who made our day perfect. The hotel is fantastic, the restaurant, the pool everything you need for a dream wedding and holiday. All of the staff were very keen to help always happy and smiling and nothing was ever to much trouble. We would highly recommend Story as a perfect getaway.

!DEFINITELY NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL!
During my day one at this hotel there’s been a heavy rain and electricity went off for a few hours starting from around 21.30. I was having a conference call at that time, when contacted reception over WhatsApp they first told me they have no idea when the electricity will be on again and they’ll give me an update shortly. An hour into load shedding nobody has contacted me and simply ignored my message when I’ve decided to double-check. I ended up waiting for 2 hours in complete darkness because I’ve had a work project to finish that day. Then gave up and went to sleep. Electricity was on when I woke up (by approx. 9 am). And of course no messages whatsoever from the reception staff.
In short, I do understand heavy rain and weather conditions making power go off. What I don’t understand is:
1. Why doesn’t a so-called “5 start hotel” have a generator? My grandmothers house has one I mean so why can’t they buy one
2. Absolute failure to provide any sort of information by hotel’s staff. They could’ve at least said “sorry, today it’s going to be off, there’s nothing that can be done” so that I wouldn’t expect for the power to go on and didn’t have to sit and wait in darkness.
It’s currently day 2 of the stay, for now it’s 3-4 star hotel at best. Just keep in mind before visiting. Not giving it a 1 star because that won’t be fair obv.

As we tried to explain to you last evening and today. the entire northern part of the island has experienced heavy rain like never seen before. This has caused extreme flooding which has affected electricity in many areas and lots of damage. The Seychelles Government has declared a state of emergency and closed all schools/shops/non essential companies until further notice. I do understand your frustration but ask you to bare with us as we are doing our best in this situation. Please note we do have a statue-of-art generator however, there was a delay due conducting a full safety check amongst all the flooded water and mudslide.

from recieving wrong title (ablolutely another person)welcome writing message at room the first day, then second day without any room cleaning unitl evening. negative service and opinion I have from hotel.
I like to say that the swimming pool is good and staff are quite helpful like Erol and Ethian I suppose spell it in right way.

To clarify, our team provided complimentary early check in for your family and in order to do so, we had to swap a few rooms of the same category in order to accommodate you. Unfortunately our team member made a mistake when delivering amenities.
