Founded in 1863, Colón is a small town of 23,000 inhabitants with a lot of charm in its well preserved center. The Europeans who came to settle here were mainly Swiss, but also Savoyards and Piedmontese. They were mainly dedicated to cattle breeding, and the port became the essential nerve center for their trade. Here, you will enjoy walking along its Costanera, on the banks of the River Uruguay after a visit to the city's thermal baths. The bus station is located at the angel of Rocamora Street and 9 de Julio (✆ +54 3447 421 716). It serves Buenos Aires, Gualeguaychu, Concepción, Concordia and Paysandú (Uruguay).
