Lovers of fresh, organic and healthy food, this bistro veggie is for you! All products come from local markets and farms. In a beautiful bright room with a high ceiling, located just next to the Academy of Fine Arts, people come to enjoy pies, sandwiches, soups, cakes and smoothies. Every day, 3 different dishes are served at lunchtime. The atmosphere is both relaxed and refined. If you prefer a sweet break, opt for its little sister Bazilika Café, also in the city centre.

This pizzeria, opened in 1996, is quite special: not only do you have a choice of 66 different kinds of pizza and 14 excellent salads, but above all its decoration is remarkable. Its historic interior includes original pillars designed by the most famous Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik, which gives a special standing to the restoration room. In the plate, you will find pizzas baked in a traditional wood oven. Simple raw products but very correct pizzas. Special mention to the generous salads!

Parma is the first pizzeria opened in this part of Europe in 1973. Students in the 1970s remember their youth in this legendary place, which has become almost cult today. The authentic ovens are from this period (repaired, of course), which makes its charm. And the 40 different kinds of pizza have kept a taste of the past: they are thicker, tastier. You will appreciate the quality of the raw products - hams, cheeses but also arugula - which stand out from other pizzerias.

Not to be missed under any circumstances! This is an excellent address for a typical Slovenian lunch break. In this kind of "fast-good-food", ideally located, you will taste the famous Carniole sausage accompanied by mustard and horseradish, but also a famous ricet - a tasty vegetable and barley soup - delicious to warm up and regain strength in cool weather. All raw products are of high quality and the staff will explain with passion all the advantages of his famous sausage: an institution!

Osmica means 8, simply because we are at number 8 on the street. This orange pizzeria has a young and relaxed atmosphere and offers a wide range of pizzas of different sizes. It is ideally located near Prešeren Square in the pedestrian zone. The prices are affordable, the quality and service are satisfactory. Awarded with many prizes, it is the dough that makes the reputation of the place. There is something for everyone: salads, lasagne, desserts... and the new pizza rolls!

In the same spirit as Vodniko Hram, the Sokol Hostel offers typical Slovenian dishes from all regions. The Truite trout, ham and olives of the Karst or the Gibanica de are found. Soups are often served in bread bowls, game plates are large (deer, deer, boar, polenta, bread boulettes…) and "régales" are truly atypical. Located in the old town, this restaurant offers specialties exclusively from the Prekmurije region, with the distinctive feature of being entirely vegan. The emphasis here is on dishes that are eaten with a spoon, just like in the old days. The Bograč revisit is a must, served in its traditional copper bucket. Save room for dessert, as Prekmurije's famous cake, gibanica, is on the menu. You can also take it to go and finish on a lighter note with a delicious pumpkin seed oil ice cream!

A renowned address located in the historic centre. In a rather bohemian chic decor, the à la carte dishes follow one another in a maze of the most pleasant smells and flavours. Slovenian cuisine is given pride of place although it does not take up the entire menu. You will love a veal fillet with grilled asparagus and black truffle purée. Special mention to the reception which is particularly pleasant with a staff with small onions and who tells us the story of our dishes and their ingredients with passion.

A rather incredible address: it is no more and no less than the best Japanese restaurant in Slovenia. In addition to the essential sushi - prepared on site in front of you - whose variety and flavour will literally melt on site, it is also worth tasting the soups and beef specialities to fully appreciate the chef's expertise. The atmosphere of the restaurant is friendly and the waiters will be happy to help you in your difficult choice between the dishes on the menu.

This restaurant is located in a courtyard behind the Osmica pizzeria next to the Hotel Slon. In the summer, this courtyard is transformed into a very pleasant terrace. It offers Mediterranean cuisine, mainly from the Kras region in the south of the country. The menus vary according to the season (fish on Fridays) and vegetarians will also find something to their liking. Local wines in bottles (Teran, Rebula...) or jugs. Allegria does not claim to revolutionize the local cuisine, but it knows at least how to enhance it.

Two restaurants in one! Pri Sv Florijanu is known for its avant-garde kitchen mixing traditional Slovenian cuisine with French or Asian flavours. There is a black bar marinated with slovène celery and caviar or a Slovene steak. The quality of course has a cost! For less expensive, just go down one floor to access the Moro restaurant. The quality is at the meeting and the prices are much cheaper than Pri Sv Florijanui. We are therefore enjoying all kinds of tajines in the heart of Slovenia!

A low house with its two small th and th-century rooms that will allow you to take your breath after the climb from the village of Tačen. Opposite and at the foot of the wall, there is the shop with its souvenirs as well as the dishes and desserts served as the canteen, plateau in hand. You will have left the car in Tačen near the Magasin store. From here take the lane on the right, continue on the left to reach the marked path with the red and white circle.
