Located to the south-west of Bohol, two bridges link this superb island to Bohol, allowing you to enjoy its beautiful beaches and superb underwater world. This is one of the Philippines' diving meccas. The best-known beach is Alona Beach, 1.5 km long. It's not very suitable for swimming, but snorkeling is nonetheless pleasant. Most of the island's hotels and restaurants are located here. Make sure you book early, especially during the high season, as places are expensive. Despite the crowds that gather here, dining on the beach under the stars in the evening is a very pleasant experience, whether you're alone, a couple or with friends. For those seeking peace and quiet, there are many other beaches that are much quieter and spared from the flood of tourists. In addition to water sports, you can also explore the island's peaceful interior by scooter.
