Thirty minutes from Dumaguete, Dauin (pronounced da-win) is even more peaceful than Dumaguete. Pretty colonial houses with well-kept gardens and bamboo and rattan furniture stores line the road. Dauin and its satellite Zamboanguita stretch along a beautiful black sand beach. Above all, it's a mecca for divers.
