The hill of the Jebel Al-Nagaza, on the outskirts of Khoms, coming from Tripoli, marks the end of the great coastal plain of the Basin extending to Tunisia, and the plateaus extending the jebel Nefousa. But for the one coming from Tripoli, the arrival to the town of Khoms is mainly reminiscent of its large grey cement factory. This city, with no great attraction, allows to recover after visiting Leptis Magna (east of the city) before returning to Tripoli, or spending the night before continuing to the Cyrenaica.
