Located 25 km from Belém. Ceramic craftsmanship is considered one of the treasures of Amazonian culture and the district of Icoaraci is the main center of production of marajoara and tapajônica ceramics. On the way, we can see the monument to Cabanagem, in memory of a revolt that opposed the Amazonian people to the State. Bathed by the bay of Guajará, Icoaraci is also an important gastronomic and folkloric center of the region. Nicknamed Vila Sorriso, "city of smiles", it claims to promote a certain art of living to its visitors. Ceramics is an ancestral art that can be seen in the town's factories.
