Cuibà is a prosperous city of almost 600,000 inhabitants (including the twin city of Varzea Grande), with a provincial atmosphere. It is one of the main agricultural centers of the country, thanks to soybeans and its 10 million heads of cattle, and also an important tourist destination, ideally located at the gates of the Pantanal. The modern city shows a relative prosperity, without much cachet, but not unpleasant. In the evening, you should avoid the old center and its pedestrian streets, deserted. The Cuiabános prefer the large American-style avenues. Cuiabà remains for many a place of passage to observe the wonders of the surroundings.
