PRE-HISTORY MUSEUM - CASA DOM AQUINO

This small museum hosting a collection of archeology and paleontology is housed in a colonial house of the nineteenth century. The permanent collection presents fossils found in Mato Grosso, reflecting the geological evolution of the region, a skeleton of dinosaur Sauropoda and some artifacts such as ceramics. We will also notice a collection of fossils found in the Chapada dos Guimarães natural park (formerly covered by the sea).
