Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera (abbreviated to Santa Gertrudis), a small village built around an18th-century church, lies in the middle of countryside and hills. To get there from Eivissa, simply follow the road signposted Sant Miquel/Santa Gertrudis from the Santa Eularia road. Just before arriving in Santa Gertrudis, you'll pass the Galería Es Molí, a typical old house housing a collection of paintings by painters from all over the world who frequented or still live on the island.In days gone by, the locals would gather after mass for a drink and a few bocadillos de pa amb oli in the village's small bars, including the famous Costa bar, nestled under the arches of an old mansion on the main pedestrian street.
