Es Cavallet is a long, beautiful white sandy beach bordered by dunes and pine trees, located in the Ses Salines Natural Park. From Ses Salines, it starts immediately after the headland, where the more family-friendly section is located, while a little further on is the gay and nudist section, towards the Chiringay. But Es Cavallet is best known for being the island's first nudist beach, a pioneer in Spain. Although the water is turquoise and transparent, the seagrass that washes up on the beach, subject to the wind, sometimes makes bathing less pleasant. This also means that the beach is (slightly) less crowded than Ses Salines, but that doesn't prevent it from being crowded in high season. For a bite to eat or a refreshing cocktail, three chiringuitos (beach bars) line the entire length of the beach, the Chiringay being undoubtedly the most festive (the other two being El Chiringuito and La Escollera).Apart from these friendly bars, you can walk up the beach to its southern end, where you'll find the defensive tower of Ses Ports. Small rocky coves dot the coastline. All ideal spots for a pleasant siestaPlease note that access to Es Cavallet beach is via a very narrow road, and the parking lot has a limited capacity (which is often reached in July and August). So drive carefully and arrive early to be sure of finding a space for your car.
