Kitale is a modern town that is of little interest to travelers passing through, but it is located in a beautiful agricultural area, from which Daniel Arap Moi (1924-2020), President of the Republic of Kenya from 1978 to 2002, was born. The excellent road conditions in the area make it easy to reach the Cherangani Hills, Mount Elgon, Saïwa Swamp Park and even lakes Baringo, Bogoria and Turkana. Kitale is therefore a very convenient stopover.
