At the beginning of the coast that goes up towards Santana, a road goes to the right towards Ilha. Rural life has remained what it once was, at 500 m above sea level, in this small mountainous islet. Don't come here to look for illusory tourist sights, you will be disappointed. Just in front of the church, a road leads to a watchtower (indication "Miradouro Eiras"), a hundred metres further on. If you continue a little further along the path that turns to the left, you will discover a sublime panorama of a wild mountain pass. Total peace and quiet! The Festa do Limão, in May, reminds us that the village produces a delicious lemon, the galego (nearly 100 tons per year!)
