This former Greek-Cypriot fishing village was renamed after a Turkish colonel during the 1974 landings. Lined with large hotels, it's worth a visit for its Kervansara bay and its coves, where you can swim if you come by excursion boat from Kyrenia. If you arrive by land, don't miss the Agios Fanourios chapel, which stands in one of the few preserved areas.
