On the Mavri Sinia plateau, 200 meters above sea level, Neo Chorio is the last village before the Akamas National Forest Park. It owes its name of "new village" to its development in the 19th century as an agricultural settlement. Enjoying grandiose views over the peninsula, it has become the chicest corner of Chrysochous Bay, with a host of hotels and villas with swimming pools stretching right down to the sea. There's also a good taverna and hiking trails.
