By continuing to the south, the road leads to Ross, a tiny village of 410 inhabitants where, at the beginning of the last century, the largest gold nugget of New Zealand was found, 99 ounces (about 2,8 kg). Honourable Roddy, as she was appointed, was bought by the government and then offered to King George V of England.
