Travel Guide Centuripe

About fifteen kilometres from Adrano, you can visit Centuripe. At the origin of the city, there is a sicule city, which develops under the Greek and then Roman dominations, before a long eclipse, which will even go until the pure and simple abandonment of the site between the 13th and 16th centuries. This undoubtedly explains the richness of the archaeological museum. Ruins of prehistoric, Greek and especially Roman origin can be identified. Concerning this last period, several monuments date back to the imperial Rome: the castle of Corradino, a dwelling with mosaics still partially visible and the ruins of thermal baths.
