Kongsjford is part of the municipality of Berlevåg, which is about 30 kilometres away. The glaciers are beautiful and the area offers landscapes that are worth every kilometre. The nature is quiet and vast, the temperatures are cool and the weather is often dry - perfect for watching the Northern Lights from September to March. Here you can fill your lungs with fresh air and let your eyes wander to the horizon. Approximately 45 inhabitants live here year round. The school in Kongsfjord was forced to close in 2004 due to lack of students, so the few students now have to travel to Berlevåg
