Less than 6 km north of Mojácar, this small, quiet coastal town has a pleasant seaside promenade, a small marina and a fishing port. During a visit, you can see the historical remains of its marina, the church of San Joaquin and the castle of Jesús Nazareño, also known as Las Escobetas, a coastal fortification dating from Charles III. Not to mention its beautiful beaches. Garrucha is also known for its gastronomy, which is mainly dedicated to fish and seafood such as prawns and rock fish, often served in stews, which can be enjoyed in one of its small chiringuitos.
