From this industrial and commercial city of more than 121,000 inhabitants, you can see Ceuta, located on the other side of the strait, in fine weather. Boats make permanent connections between Spain and Morocco and it is essentially a city of passage which during the summer season experiences an uninterrupted flow of holidaymakers of Moroccan origin. It has developed largely because of commercial competition with Gibraltar, which is on the other side of the bay. It is finally known as the birthplace of the great flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía. The town hall has published a guide to follow your steps in the city.
