In common parlance, Los Cabos designates the entire area grouping San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, separated by barely 30 kilometres. The four lanes that connect the two cities offer access to 17 beaches, almost all of which are dotted with tourist facilities. The average annual temperatures are around 27°C, with the mildest in January (18°C) and the highest in August (29°C). All of this is accompanied by cool breezes that are a welcome relief.
