MUNICIPAL PALACE

Decorated with discreet neoclassical elements, this vast building was built in 1831 to house the town council. Along its interior corridors are interesting frescoes on the city's past. The visit is quick, but pleasant and free. The Palacio Municipal sometimes hosts events and temporary art exhibitions, especially in its pleasant flowered patio. Not all parts of the building can be accessed as it still houses administrative offices.
