Everything is made on the spot daily, served in generous portions in to-go trays, and you're in for a treat. Simple, efficient and inexpensive.

While in Saint-Pierre, stop by Délices Thaï and take your taste buds to Asia. Here, we appreciate the hospitality of the chef and his team. The cuisine is made with heart, the portions are generous, the flavors are there and the prices are very affordable. You can taste fusion dishes inspired by different Asian countries: marinated beef Thai style, caramel pork, nasi goreng, egg rolls and homemade spring rolls... The waitresses will explain the particularity of each dish and guide you in your choices, with a smile.

It has been established for a few years on the seafront, just steps from the beach, and this restaurant in the tropical and airy setting reminiscent of Mauritius and Spain has improved recently. The owner, former professional footballer, wanted to create a relaxed and relaxed place where there are other high-level athletes, from metropolis or local clubs, around the bar, in the room or on the tropical terrace. Today, it's a fairly greedy metro and Creole cuisine available on a varied map and for attractive prices. Fish and meat dishes, grills, pasta and pizzas, salads, cocktails and ice cream, French and foreign wine. Finally, and this is rare enough to be reported, the waitresses are dressed in traditional Creole dress on weekends!

Cabri massalé, rougail trois frères, civet de coq, boucané brinzel, risofé guêpes... Here, curries are made in the purest respect for traditional Creole wood-fired cooking. Every day, the house concocts five different recipes to be enjoyed in the form of a "buffet marmite". Gourmets and big appetites can finish with a gato patate or a Dakatine chocolate moelleux. You can choose to sit in the air-conditioned indoor dining room or in the shady backyard. You can also order takeaway.

On the corner of rue Marius et Ary Leblond and rue François Isautier, Le Bistroké welcomes you to its 20-seat air-conditioned dining room, with its warm, cosy atmosphere. From croque-monsieur to ceviche, boletus risotto, andouillette AAAAA sauce au poivre vert péi or chili sin carne, the restaurant offers a brasserie-style menu. At Le Bistroké, simplicity rhymes with quality, with suggestions renewed weekly and everything home-cooked, using fresh seasonal produce. Dishes can also be taken away.

Not far from the fishermen's quarter of Terre Sainte, the Risofé restaurant serves traditional Creole cuisine. On the menu are a variety of curries, rougails and sautés to be discovered daily: baba fig boucané, cabri massage, civet lapin, rougail morue, fried sausages, rougail chevaquines... Not forgetting the restaurant's specialty: heated rice, of course! You can enjoy your meal on the pleasant, shaded terrace with its modern decor, or order a tray to take away. Wine bar and tapas in the evening.

Two Réunion Islanders with a love of South America have taken up the challenge of this family-run restaurant, which delights curious travelers' taste buds. Warm colors and Latin music set the mood. The cocktails are "to die for", and the food succulent. With tacos, ask for the extra guacamole, it'll be even better. Papichūlo takes its inspiration from authentic recipes, and the tortillas used are made by a Mexican woman living in Réunion Island. The welcome is warm, the service attentive and efficient.

Traditional, family-style Creole cuisine. Jennifer and Jérôme, the parents, work in the kitchen, while Sheryl, their daughter, handles customer relations and cashiering. Their restaurant is always busy at lunchtime, with a large local clientele of regulars and Réunionese. Palm salad, chicken or fresh fish carry, cabbage vacoa boucané, sausage rougail... You'll find the great classics of Creole cuisine on a daily-changing à l'ardoise menu, with a maximum of five-six dishes and a few desserts. Fast service and a warm welcome.
