The city of Petit-Bourg is nicknamed the green lung of Guadeloupe because 70% of its territory is located in the national park, thus benefiting from an exceptional backcountry. Towards the South, on the RN1, between Petit-Bourg and Goyave, a hospitable windy coastline unfolds, with beautiful gray sand beaches. The natural panoramas are, here, still preserved from untimely constructions. The road that goes up to the pass leaves the last houses, passes in front of the Crayfish waterfall, then the zoo, the House of the forest and then the Mamelles to reach the morne that culminates at 718 meters.
