BOULANGERIE - PÂTISSERIE SABOURDY
A true artisan in Aix-les-Bains! Dominique and Edith Sabourdy run this welcoming bakery and patisserie, as well as the Sabourdy chocolate shop and La Potinière tea room. On one side, breads made with traditional French and Label Rouge flours from the La Motte-Servolex mill. Dominique bakes a slow-fermented sourdough bread that guarantees better taste and longer shelf life. The bread is 100% French wheat, additive-free, and 90% handmade! Every day, we offer around fifteen different types of bread, with the queen of them all, the baguette, but also mountain pasture bread, stone-ground bread, beautiful rye pies... The irresistible Reblochon and bacon bread, to be eaten as a sandwich, as an aperitif or with a salad. Two daily special breads follow the chef's mood to vary the pleasures. As for the desserts, entirely homemade, they're colorful, harmoniously shaped and enchantingly named! Dominique's background is in pastry-making. Ice creams, sorbets, fresh fruit jams, fruit jellies, petits fours, macaroons, individual cakes or cakes to share, you'll be spoilt for choice. Valrhona's 100% cocoa butter pastries are made entirely with butter. Melt for the small tulip-shaped praline brioches, soft and generous, but also for the Tout Chocolat or Tanariva made with milk chocolate mousse, chestnut cream and milk caramel. A delightful address well worth a detour!
