Visit the church with its Romanesque chevet and flamboyant Gothic façade in Villefranche-sur-Saône.

Its construction dates from the 12th century and was completed in the 16th century, which is why the chevet is Romanesque while the additions are Gothic. From the initial church with one nave, Anne and Pierre de Beaujeu will build new bays, then the tower with a spire and this remarkable facade, flamboyant gothic, real stone lace that pays tribute to the Virgin of the Marshes and its saints. The nave has 7 pointed arches. Great organ of 1834 classified as Historic Monument.

Una iglesia normalita, ni asombra ni decepciona, es decir, como las matemáticas o las leyes de la física. Recomendable solo si os pilla de camino. Os aviso de que es una iglesia católica al contrario que en los otros comentarios

This afternoon while we were passing outside the church and were thinking of going inside for a while, the gentleman, probably the priest, refused us entry and asked us if we had some kind of paper that we didn't understand to be allowed in.
In front of us was a group of elderly people who were welcomed by him!
the church is open to everyone whether it is during divine service or not!!
