Museum containing what the missionaries brought back from their encounter with the peoples of Melanesia and Polynesia.
In 1850, the house was sold to five clergymen. After extensive work, the buildings became a place of prayer. It was here that Jean-Claude Colin wrote the Marist rules in 1873. Thousands of young novices were formed there before being sent on evangelisation missions all over the world, especially in Oceania. A place of prayer, reflection and meeting, La Neylière houses the Museum of Oceania, containing what the missionaries brought back from their encounters with the peoples of Melanesia and Polynesia.
