This emblematic venue, long home to the exploits of the OL (that was a long time ago...) has become the temple of rugby with the LOU. It would seem that Gerland is a success story for local sportsmen and women! In a district undergoing major transformation, the stadium - listed as a "masterpiece of reinforced concrete architecture" since 1967 - was designed by Lyon architect Tony Garnier and inaugurated in 1920. Official LOU Rugby store. A brasserie serves meals every lunchtime on weekdays and on match days. Adjacent to the stadium, the Ruck Hôtel offers great comfort with its bistronomic restaurant. And soon, a new nautical and sports center.

C'est toujours une superbe expérience que d'aller au stade de Gerland. Il y a toujours de l'ambiance... Les prix ne sont pas trop élevés. Le cadre est agréable. Bref... Pour une petite sortie sportive en famille je recommande.

Ce stade qui a connu des soirées de coupe du monde de football et de rugby et les matchs de la grande équipe de l'OL des années 2000 est aussi très réussi d'un point de vue architectural. Il va cependant retomber dans l'ombre avec l'ouverture du nouveau stade des lumières.

Stade bien conçu, avec un accès assez simple en tram (T1 Debourg, ou métro B Gerland). Attention, pour les places ne virage sud il faut marcher un peu. En revanche si vous venez en voiture, venez en avance car vous devrez trouver une place dans la rue et ça n'est pas gagné!
