Since 1934, the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (CNR) has been responsible for the development and enhancement of the Rhône River. The company has three main missions: power generation, navigation and agricultural irrigation. The waterways offer an exceptional natural heritage. From Lyon to the sea, 330 km of waterways are open to you, thanks to 14 locks managed by CNR. Passage through the locks is free of charge, but boaters must pay a "vignette de plaisance fluviale".
