Restaurant with a large terrace and bistro tables in Lyon.
Anchored in Lyon's culinary heritage and the gourmet landscape of the Croix-Rousse, the Chanteclair has (again) changed hands to Laurent Gerra. This doesn't change anything to the timeless beauty of the place and to the large terrace totally inescapable on the boulevard, even on market days. At the time of our visit, the menu had not really changed. In every season, Lyon tradition and contemporary dishes based on fresh quality products: egg in meurette, beef tataki, followed by a beautiful roasted whole sea bream.

Les prix sont aussi augmentés mais quand on mange bien on oublie.
Dommage que depuis quelques semaines l’établissement n’ouvre qu’à partir de 8h30 car nous étions habitués à venir tous les matins entre 7:30 et 8:00.
L’ambiance n’est plus ce qu’elle était (la journée). Nous avons l’impression que Chanteclair a voulu sélectionner sa clientèle en changeant ses horaires car 7:30 est celle d’une clientèle différente.
Tant pis, beaucoup de personnes ne seront plus au rendez vous et d’ailleurs nous nous sommes rendus compte que certains habitués sont au café d’en face.
