The Opera of Lyon is an architectural masterpiece that welcomes dance and lyrical performances in its magnificent hall.

The best way to see an architectural masterpiece brought up to date by Jean Nouvel in 1993 is from the inside! Accompanied by a fascinating guide, set off on a small-group tour of the 18 levels - good sneakers recommended for the visit. A national opera house since 1996, the Opéra de Lyon is a magnificent venue for dance and opera performances. Full program on the Opéra website. Guided tour in partnership with Lyon Tourist Office, by reservation only.

Le bâtiment est clivant, on aime ou on n'aime pas. On est rarement mitigé. Personnellement je le trouve superbe. L'intérieur est très cosinus malgré son côté assez moderne. Seule la galerie centrale semble avoir été gardée a l'ancienne. La salle et les escalier pour monter sont modernes avec l'emploi d'acier et couleur noire par exemple. Accueil agréable. Attention au délai un peu long pour acheter une boisson pendant l'entracte.
