A pleasant place, participating in many breeding programs, and committed to the conservation of endangered species.
The current zoo covers a little more than 9 hectares. A scientific collaboration has long united it with the National Veterinary School of Lyon. Its missions are breeding, preservation of endangered species, scientific research and animal welfare. It is a pleasant place with the theme of the African plain, including savannah, wetlands and forest where 150 mammals, 150 birds, about twenty turtles, 2 Nile crocodiles live. The Parc de la Tête d'Or includes a turtle recovery center, a botanical garden and a deer park.

J'aime l'idée d'un zoo municipal
bien qu'il ne soit pas équipé de lions ou de tigres, c'est un zoo bien entretenu avec plusieurs oiseaux exotiques, notamment ceux gardés dans la forêt tropicale.

Un incontournable de Lyon. Un zoo gratuit, très étendu, ce qui permet d'y faire plein de chose: se promener, se reposer, faire des jeux de plein air (ballon molkky frisbee...), du poney, du pédalo, manger une glace, voir les animaux, faire du velo, courrir....

Un zoo gratuit! Au cœur du Parc de la Tête d'Or, on peut aller rendre visite aux animaux. Girafes, lions, ours, singes, tortues, lémuriens, buffles, alligators, il y en a pour tout le monde. A voir également l'ancienne cage des ours...
