Château de Chénas was built in 1821. In 1934, the winery vinified 44 hectares for 44 winegrowers. Today, it groups together some 80 winegrowing families for 200 hectares. The château houses a huge vaulted cellar, one of the largest in the Beaujolais region, capable of storing 120,000 bottles. The Château de Chénas cellar produces mainly Chénas and Moulin-à-Vent crus, but also red and white Beaujolais Villages and other Beaujolais crus.
