The asphalt road linking the Col de Porte and the Charmanson mountain pasture is covered in snow in winter. It is then closed to motorists and becomes a playground for winter sports enthusiasts. A great place for cross-country skiing or ski touring, you can reach the first houses on the alpage in 50 minutes. The return journey is effortless: downhill only. If you've chosen to do this itinerary on snowshoes, the walk continues up to the summit of Charmanson, with a further 1-hour ascent.

In Grenoble, the first leaves of spring are sprouting from the pages of books. Printemps du Livre is an event organized by the City of Grenoble and its municipal libraries, in partnership with bookshops. For the ^22nd edition, a host of authors will be on hand for readings, round-table discussions, performances, urban exhibitions and book signings... An immense pleasure to read and discover, to be shared at this event.

Like every year, magic happens at the Ultra Tour des 4 Massifs, more commonly known as Ut4M. The ^12th edition of this exceptional race links the 4 massifs surrounding Grenoble-Alpes Métropole: Vercors, Taillefer, Belledonne and Chartreuse. 12 races for all levels, with the flagship Ut4M 160 Xtrem taking in all the peaks (with extended opening hours for greater accessibility). If you're not yet a great trailer, but want to join in the adventure, sign up for the 20 km versions on the massif of your choice, especially the Chartreuse, which has the special feature of being run at night.

An extraordinary festival in an extraordinary place. An electronic music festival held in the gardens of the Musée Dauphinois. It's early summer, it's hot (no changing rooms, so dress accordingly) and you want to dance to the sounds of DJ sets that go on until nightfall. There's plenty to eat and drink, and plenty of dancing and fun to be had on a dancefloor set in an incredible setting at the foot of the Bastille.

What are you doing in April? Do you love running, but have never done one? Start with the Grenoble Vizille. Discover a 30 km trail linking Grenoble (Eybens) and Vizille along the Route Napoléon, with the option of running solo or in a relay! Yes, running with others is much more fun. Children also have their own race. And if you don't want to run - which would be a shame, but hey... -There are also a number of hiking trails, from 10 to 21 km, with a revolutionary flavour (we're coming to Vizille!). A feast for the eyes and the legs. There's even a masquerade costume competition, so you can run and have fun at the same time.

Grenoble is the place for life-size mountains. The Palais des Sports is the place to see mountains from around the world on the big screen. The Rencontres Ciné Montagne is a series of 5 themed evenings featuring the finest mountain films. The mountain in all its diversity, all its practices, all its disciplines, with screenings open to all audiences. the ^25th edition will take place in 2023, and the program will be as rich as ever, with previews, meetings with directors and athletes, as well as entertainment and surprises.

Créarc, Centre de Création de Recherche et des Cultures, is a cultural and artistic association based in Grenoble. It offers a variety of services including workshops and courses, as well as theatrical creations. Créarc is also known for its Petit Théâtre, where shows are presented on a regular basis.
