Establishment owned by Georges Blanc since 2001, Brasserie Place Bernard serves in a chic bistro frame or on a terrace covered and heated in winter, open in the summer, in the heart of Bourg-en-Bresse, just steps from Notre-Dame church, a kitchen revisited the Bressane tradition: Chicken and morels chicken, persillade frogs, chocolate escorts, mère cake…

Chairs, benches and walls are in yellow tones and ochre. A large window makes it a bright establishment. In the decoration as in the dishes, the Cofy gives in simplicity. It is part of the tradition of the brewery and even of the bouchon. On slate: bolognaises lasagna or salmon, grilled ham in Madeira, Quenelles sauces, bréchets chicken bréchets, liver or even calf head…

Via Ferrata changed its name to become Edgar's Bistro, referring to its address, place Edgar Quinnet. For the rest, the fundamentals do not change. It is a traditional brasserie where you can enjoy Milanese steak, veal of calf, tender or, snails, most often on the terrace, at the foot of the fountain, despite a large room on the floor and all the stamp of this brick and wooden restaurant.

This typical bistro - with its zinc, red benches, slate to the walls to announce suggestions and formulas of the day - has a false gare of the station, with grey metal and old signs to decorate its two rooms.
Ideally located just a few steps from the prefecture, the ICC, or the premises of the Le Progress newspaper, the hotel is regularly at noon. It should be said that the customer has the choice between several dishes of the day and dishes and that many dishes are offered on the map: calf head, filet, tartar, or a home hamburger to fall, seems to be. Different wines can be served in glass and the café develops home aperitifs such as communard with griotte.
In addition to the card, on Thursdays and Fridays evenings, guests can opt for a menu of 25 euros.

Outside, a large, quiet and sheltered terrace. Inside, a cosy bistro atmosphere where you can find the donkeys of the sign, on the paintings on the walls, as among the different trinkets and toys adorning the place. On the map, if the hotel offers a wide choice of pizzas, it is especially appreciated for its brasserie dishes: Coquilles, Risotto, Poulet chicken… and homemade desserts.
